Grouping by Custom Property Fields

I want to create a custom property and then group my nodes list by it.

I've created the custom property using the custom property editor and then populated it.

My next step was to Edit All Nodes and change the Grouping Nodes Level 1 field to the custom property I created. However the new custom property does not appear in the drop down list of fields.

Can someone let this newbie know what he's forgotten to do to make the custom property available?

It should just show up. Where is the custom property, node interface or volume? Is this on the primary Orion server or additional web server?

Hi, thanks for your reply.
The custom property is in the custom properties for nodes. I created it using the custom property editor on the Solar Winds Application Server. All of the information I entered yesterday is still there.

I'm having the exact same issue. I used to be able to group by custom properties in the all nodes and now not all of my custom properties are shown.

Hi mtxpert,
A techie from Solar Winds managed to fix this for me. The problem was that I wasn't running the custom property editor on the server with admin privileges. When I started the program by right clicking and choosing run as admin it worked straight away.
This also explained why a couple of other Solar Winds programmes didn't appear to run properly. I now start them all this way and haven't had any problems since.
Hope this helps. Failing that log a support call with them.
