Group inside a group roll up status

Jump to solution

Created a group to show in a cloud but I want create a mixture of sub groups consisting of nodes and ports sets to roll up the status to the top level group. The sub groups will not be greater than one level down to the node or port. If a port or node goes down in one of the sub groups I want it report up to the top level group as at least a yellow to get the attention of the NOC team to take a look at. Do I show mixed status at the top level and mixed at the second level. Or even bigger question will the sub group node status down show at the top level?

Thanks

Hello @mcmillrl

Yup what you have mentioned would work just fine.

https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/orionplatform/Content/Core-Status-Rollup-Mode...

Group 1  : (Mixed Status)  Add the nodes and ports

Group 2 (Top Level Group): (Mixed Status) Add the groups (node groups like Group 1) under Top Level Parent Group to reflect the status with mixed mode accordingly. NOC can drill down accordingly when the Top Level Group is in warning status.
