Hi
I experienced a fan failure with a Cisco 6500 but the fan seemed to be working. I arranged a after hours power down, blew out the dust from the fans and re-started it. alert went away.

The 9500 is not very new to NPM not like the old 6500...

I have been experiencing this myself. If you remove the power supply and reinsert it, the alarm clears. Not sure if the fault is on the C9500 side or Orion. The problem occurred for me following a restart of the switch.

I believe this is related to the following Cisco bug. It is probably just clearing when you power cycle the device, not necessarily related to dusting or reseating the power supply.
