Hi,
Every now and then I get a device that gives me this message:
Interface no longer exists. Data collection terminated.
Interface restored. Data collection restarted.
What does this mean? Is this something I can fix?
Thanks
I am also receiving these messages and would like to get some sort of resolution to it if at all possible, as they are filling up my event logs.
I read in another thread that the issue should have been resolved with the installation of one of the earlier SP's (SP2, I believe). However, I am currently on SP4 and still receiving these messages...
I do notice that most of mine originate from Cisco 37xx devices (specifically, 3750's) - is there some known minor incompatability?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Are you interface indexes re-indexing a lot? This could potentially cause this issue. For some Cisco devices you can lock this - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_tech_note09186a0080134eec.shtml
