Empty Folder in MIB Browser

If an OID doesn't show in the MIB browser it's simply because that hasn't been defined in the MIB file that ships with SolarWinds. You can request MIBs to be added through SolarWinds support, see this article for details: support.solarwinds.com/.../Add-MIBs-to-the-SolarWinds-MIB-database

Fret not however, as you don't need to browse the MIB folder to find the OID if you simply know the OID you need. In that case you can simply just type the full thing when defining the UnDP and you'll still successfully pull the metrics through. You can usually find the OIDs by running an SNMP walk to the device you want, as that will list any OIDs that respond to the Community String you give it: support.solarwinds.com/.../Troubleshoot-connectivity-and-MIB-issues-with-SolarWinds-SNMP-walk-IPv4-only

Thank you for your response.  I understand what you have stated.

What I do not understand is why doesn't SolarWinds already have the all the MIBs loaded for Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, etc.  It would seem that having the MIBs loaded and up to date for the biggest most common vendors would make good business sense.  Especially since MIBs can not be added by the user and must be requested via a support ticket.

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean about Cisco, F5, Palo Alto etc, as they all have MIBs that should be working straight out of the box for any of the normal metrics. The device in the screenshot of the OP is for a vendor called 'Eaton' that I don't personally recognize.
