Custom Report with Graph or Chart

From what I can tell, Orion doesn't support custom reports with graphs or charts.  I am hoping someone can tell me what they are doing to get around this.

I created daily reports of the bandwidth used on 5 of our routers.  It e-mails me the reports every morning and gives it to me in a tabular format.  Management would rather see a graph or chart showing the usage throughout the day rather than looking at the numbers.  Is there a way I can give them their pretty picture within Orion?  I suppose I could export the data into excel and create my chart there but that's not the route I would like to take.

 I could probably use another product as well but I hate to have something else installed just to get a chart.

 Any ideas?

I actually created a new View called "Upstream Provider" in which I added 6 (in my case) blank HTML resources. Then, preview your new view, and edit each resource and paste the following in. I then added this page to be mailed to me once weekly using the Report Scheduler, and/or I can watch my upstream refresh live by simply reloading the page.

Edit the NetObjectID in the link to reflect the actual InterfaceID (NetObject=I:114 for example) of the device you want to display average utilization. You can get this by simply hovering over the interface you want the stats from. You can change your reporting period in this string as well.

http://yourservername.com/NetPerfMon/Chart.asp?Chart=AVGUTIL&NetObject=I:114&Period=Last%207%20Days&SampleSize=1H&FontSize=&Width=550&Height=0

Unfortunately in the recent revisions of Solarwinds, I can't seem to embed the new graphs as they seem to use some sort of chart reference which works on the preview, but will not work once another graph has been pulled. Unless someone has a suggestion for that? The link above was from the 8.x version of Orion (and works), but the link below is from the new version, which I can't make work since there is no where to substitute my interface ID's anymore 😞

ie. http://yourservernamehere.com/Orion/Controls/ChartImagePipe.aspx?ChartID=ctl06$ctl00$Wrapper$ctl01$chart_Base&KxRx=0x06796

9.1 SP1 fixed that bug.  The link should now look something like:

<img src="/Orion/NetPerfMon/Chart.aspx?ChartName=AVGRTLOSS& Width=640&Height=0&NetObject=N:14&CustomPollerID=&Rows=&SampleSize=30M&Period=Today&PlotStyle=&FontSize=1&NetObjectPrefix=N" />

 Fantastic - worked like a charmer. I was waiting to upgrade from 9.0SP1 until there was a requirement for it.

Now I can build more pretty reports for management!

 The Report Scheduler asks for a URL which is normally the URL of a report through the Orion website. If you use the report scheduler, you should be able to include additional web pages in the report. That page just needs to be a URL you point to. That's really the best workaround for the time being...though it has been a requested feature.

Another workaround is to use Savell's custom report from this thread-
