I saw there is a feature request for an if, else, then option, but I wanted to see if anyone knows of another way to do this. I want to create an alert for my access switches that will only go off if the distribution switch is in an UP status. If the distribution switch is in a DOWN status, then the alert won't go off. Meaning I don't want a hundred alerts saying stuff is down if I already know they are down because the main connection point (the distribution switch) is down.
I can't seem to figure this out without an if else statement. Any ideas or are we just waiting for the Solarwinds engineers to implement a feature that was requested 7 years ago?
