Complete Solarwinds Solution in Azure with Hybrid Infrastructure to monitor

Hi,

We are planning to host our entire Solarwinds platform in Azure with NPM, NTA, SAM, NCM, IPAM and VNQM Modules. All APEs will also be hosted in Azure.

However, we have a hybrid infrastructure wherein Servers will be hosted in co-lo DCs across locations and there will be some azure VMs to monitor as well. Network/VOIP devices located on remote sites too.

Has anyone tried a complete Solarwinds Azure deployment with target servers/network devices on premise. Will such a solution work? Will our Azure hosted APEs be able to communicate with on premise Network Devices/Server via SNMP/Agent with required ports opened? Or an on premise APE is mandatory? Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks!
