I have views defined by device type and I noticed our Catalyst 3560 switches are reporting only as, "Cisco", as the machine type. Other models of Cisco switches report such as, "Cisco Catalyst 295048 G", "Cisco Catalyst 295012", "Catalyst 4948", etc. My Cisco ASA machine type is also reporting as only, "Cisco". This makes it impossible for me to define views by device type, since my views for Firewalls is entirely different than my views for switches.
Anyway Solarwinds can populate the MachineType of switches/firewalls with more meaningful information other than just "Cisco"?
