Cisco Catalyst 9300

When they show up like that it means that cisco doesn't put the model number into the standard OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2).  They seem to be the most inconsistent vendor I have seen regarding what kind of values they put into that field...

Year I see your point here, but trying to make your own poller I am not able to find all info that I would like.

But the strange thing is that the things that I cannot find, the default node detail can find.

On step 13 of that KB they list out the oids they use to find the values in the default poller, the only tricky one is the Vendor because they normally do that based on a list they have mapping sysobjectid to vendors.

on step 13, for "Software Version" and "Software Image" you will have to select the same OID for "Description" (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1) and also use "Add calculated value" to extract only the "Software Version" and "Software Image" parts from "Description":

The code I used for "Software Version" is:

SubString([sysDescr], IndexOf([sysDescr],'Version ') + 8, IndexOf([sysDescr],'Technical Support:') - IndexOf([sysDescr],'Version ') - 8)

and for "Software Image" is:

SubString([sysDescr], IndexOf([sysDescr],'Software (') + 10, IndexOf([sysDescr],', Version')-IndexOf([sysDescr],'Software (') - 11)
