Hello all,
am new to NPM, my apologies in advance if this is a very basic given thing that am asking about. am having issue adding Cisco 2960 node to NPM. I've configure the Cisco switch 2960 as below: -
# snmp-server community cybwer ro
# snmp-server enable traps
# snmp-server host 192.168.1.100 version 2c cybwer
(192.168.1.100) is the IP address of NPM server.
The issue is when I want to add node using Community String it doesn't find the switch.
p.s, no management IP added to the switch. am accessing it using COM console only.
Q: do I need to have management IP address for the switch in-order to discover the node?or am missing something.
