Is it possible to configure the alert email action to send alert emails every 4 hours until the alert email is acknowledged? The system should stop sending the alert once it is acknowledged.

Yes, it is possible.
- Edit your alert configuration and skip to the trigger actions page of the wizard.
- Edit the action that sends your notification emails.
- Expand the Execution settings
- Enable the checkbox for "repeat this action every X minutes until the alert is acknowledged"
- Set it to "Repeat this action every: 4 hours.
Save your changes to the email action and then continue through the alert editor to save it.
