CPU shows 100% via Orion, but it's really 1%

Is there a known bug in Orion 8.5.1 SP3 where CPU for a node can show 100% even though if you connect to the server you see the CPU is not 100%.  In my case the CPU is 1%.

Thanks,

Kevin

  • What kind of node is it?

I have a few Linux boxes that like to report their CPU usage in odd increments (like tenths or hundreths of percentages). Sooo this amounts to alot of them saying things like 200% CPU usage when it's really 2%. Unfotrunately in this case there's not much you can do.

Now, on custom poller guages, you can set your own values, so although it may report 200%, you can adjust the appearance to look correct. I've done this on a lot of my temperature guages (HP likes to report temp in odd increments as well...)

    Cheers,
