Backup file deleted after backup runs

When we run the database manager and then do a backup database the back up starts - I can see a file created in the directory - then we get a message that hte database backup completed successfully - I look in the filder where the file was and it is no longer there. I seqarched the hard drive it is is no where.

Any ideas?

Is your database on the same server as Orion? One thing which may not be obvious is that the backup job runs on the SQL server and the file is saved on that server, not on the Orion server.

Separate SQL server
it is not on either box. I saw it created on the SQL server when it was doign the backup but now it is gone.
