Availiability Statistics for Group Details View

Does anyone know how to apply or mimic with report writer

the out of the box "Availability Statistics" on a Group Details View level.

This can be applied to the node details view but I have a user who wants a roll up average metric of all the devices they assigned to a group as an overall (MEAN/AVG) Percentage for the group.
