AuthFailures from network devices

1/7/2014 8:56:03 AM1x.x.x.x 1x.x.x.x aaaaaaa SNMPv2-MIB:authenticationFailure snmpTrapEnterprise = CISCO-PRODUCTS-MIB:cisco2610XM
experimental.1057.1.0 = x.x.x.x
sysUpTime = 31 days 14 hours 47 minutes 50.50 seconds
snmpTrapOID = SNMPv2-MIB:authenticationFailure
authAddr =y.y.y.y

i am getting lots and lots of these from all sorts of network devices. From what my server guy tells me, the "accept snmp from local devices" is a default setting so that should already be on. The address of the x.x.x.x are all the same and the y.y.y.y is the server.

Again these are routers and switches generating these errors. they have all had a comm string change as of last week. i have checked comm strings and all are the same.

BTW, i am not a SQL or server guy so try to speak as plainly as possible. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
