Antivirus Exclusions for Orion NPM

Hello,

we are going to install an antivirus on the NPM servers, but before proceeding, we need to know the file exclusions officially recommended and supported by Solarwinds to allow NPM to work without any problem.

I have tried to search a KB but nothing found.

Claudio,

There are no known conflicts at this time or any need to create file exclusions. There are issues if your antivirus solution blocks SMTP ports and you want to use email as an alert notification. There are issues if you want to use WMI to monitor applications and you block the ports used by WMI. But, these are not really Orion NPM issues, per se. The ports necessary for SNMP Traps, Syslog messages, and the Information service are all documented in the Administrator Guide available here: www.solarwinds.com/.../OrionAdministratorGuide.pdf
If there are conflicts with our binaries, please ensure you open a ticket, as we will work with the vendor, and I will create a KB for the issue.
