Alert Chaining

Hello,

We recently purchased NPM with SAM and Netflow module.

My questions is about alert chaining. Let's say in a given situation i have a few branches that i'm monitoring. Those branches are inter-connected with an IPSEC tunnel. If the tunnel goes down, i get alert that the tunnel is down and then individual alerts for each node and application in that particular branch. Is it possible to setup "intelligent" alert so if the tunnel is down, by default all the apps are down I don't need to be alerted about them ?
