Additional Webserver with SQL Express

Hi,

actual with have NPM9.5 SP4 and a SQL 2008 Express on the same server, we will install a SQL2008 Standard on a separat server in the next weeks. But I will try to test the function of the Additional Webserver on a DMZ-server now. During the installation of Additional Webserver I have to give in the SQL-server instance with SQL authentication - but this failed. The connection between servers are ok (ping). Are specific ports necessary? Is a specific setup of the SQL Express or Windows services necessary?

Who has an idea?

Are you using mixed mode authentication or SQL Authentication? Do you have enabled Shared Memory, TCP/IP, and Named Pipes.
