Account limitations and maps

I am experimenting with the group of nodes account limitation as it pertains to a map. I noticed that if I choose the Map Property option of having the nodes removed from the map, this will work for a user account I added (with no admin, node mgmt or view customization rights), but not for the built-in Admin account.

Is this by design?

Which setting(s) specifically negate the ability of the "remove nodes" map property to work?

Account limitations should work for Admins. Can you give more detail?

Well, Denny this is going to sound crazy, but things seem to be working now. Both the AJAX node tree resource and the map remove nodes that are not "allowed" by the account limitation.
I suppose that is the way it works now, rather than the old way of showing the nodes and yielding an error screen if the user clicks on a node not allowed by the limitation?
