11.5 - alert emails - ${SQL:Select} garbled in web UI

you shouldn't need to perform a custom SQL lookup for a custom property. I think that was resolved in the previous SAM release.

We have alerts working with ${N=SwisEntity;M=CustomProperties.Application_Alert_SMTP_Address} as the To address. You'd need to amend to ${N=SwisEntity;M=CustomProperties.AlertEmails} to pick up your custom property.

ok, I actually have a different scenario where this would be useful.

SELECT isnull(v.AlertEmails,n.alertemails) from volumes v left join nodes n on v.nodeid=n.nodeid where volumeid=${volumeID}

This issue was fixed in NPM 11.5.2.

it appears this is broken again in 11.5.2 HF6, core HF3 

appears to be broken in 12.0 as well.  aLTeReGo​, can you or someone comment?

This is useful to help minimize the number of email actions...i.e. (a group or two want an email to ticketing system on critical alerts - not standard for us as a call goes out).

This would go in BCC field

1. You cannot combine SQL macro with SWIS variable

2. () or in is forbidden in to/cc/bcc

3. You should use ' ' instead of ""

Please try this:

${SQL:select ticketemail from APM_Applicationcustomproperties WHERE Dept = 'RHPSAS' and ApplicationID=${ApplicationID}}

${SQL:select ticketemail from APM_Applicationcustomproperties WHERE Dept = 'DataServices' and ApplicationID=${ApplicationID}}

Every email address should be in one line.

WE will create issue for to/bcc/cc be more tolerate.

Got this to accept/work...single field "ticketEmail" but condition was and/or

${SQL:select ticketemail from APM_Applicationcustomproperties WHERE ApplicationID=${ApplicationID} AND Dept='RHPSAS' OR Dept='DataServices'}

well...might have spoken too soon.  AND/OR does not appear to reliably go in order (not working all the time).

If I try to put both of the statements in per your suggestion, I get the error below...any thoughts on that LadaVarga​ ?  tia!

It looks like more "ticketemail" has some wrong format character in email address and SMTP server return the error.

What do you have in that ticketEmail for that particular application. If you use only one "to:"
