NCM - regex tester app or tool

If I could vote up twice (or more) I would. This has been extremely frustrating since it severely lacks in the documentation department (along with other features of NCM like : config change templates; compliance rules and compliance remediation to name just a few out of a longer list).

It would be a huge deal to get the different parts of NCM to use the same Regex format (for consistency's sake at least).

Have you used this page with the regex filter used when you run a script as a job?  I am trying to include only text between 2 strings and this website says this wll work but so far it is not working.

A site I use that is similar was well - REGex TESTER v1.5.3 - test/validate regular expressions, online tester

Visual-Regex does this for the compliance portion of NCM.  If you are looking for the comparison criteria, it's not documented and uses a different regex engine.

Lastly, if you are suffering it's probably due to end line characters, use \r*\n for your rules, this will allow you to test in the test field, or against an actual config with the same rule and without error.
