Regular Expression Help

Jump to solution

Hi

I’m trying to find my line listed below by searching for the words load average to ignore it in the NCM - Comparison Criteria.

With each config download the time change so it must ignore everything before and after.

I have tried this expression without any success:   .*load average.*

Here is my line im trying to ignore:

11:21:52 up 4 days, 23:33,  load average: 0.01, 0.03, 0.04

Hi,

I logged a ticket with Solarwinds, for some reason I could not make any posts on the thwack web site.

The solution the Solarwinds team came back with was that I needed to also specify the line above before that one line in the config

My config looks like this:

Fri Nov 22 03:55:05 UTC 2013

12:19:15 up  7:23,  load average: 0.00, 0.02, 0.04

The solution was to specify both lines with the following regular expressions:

[0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9] UTC

load average:

Problem resolved, thanks!

Hello,

Try to use:

.*,\s\sload average:

\s - stands for whitechar (e.g. spacebar, tab)

EDIT: Not working for me, trying to find solution...

dbruynb Could you please provide sample config?

Regards,

Mateusz
