Problem Logging onto Cisco 2600 Router

I've added one of our routers to Cirrus and it logs in fine but does not seem to login to enable, when I try and run a command I get the following
show IP Traffic
Pilgrim-Lincoln>show IP Traffic
Which shows it is connected but not logged into enable, our console password is the same as our enable password and it's all configured correctly in the node details, anyone know why it's not logging into enable.

  • Jon,

When logging into this device, do you normally type 'enable' or 'enable 15'? The way the node is setup, it will actually send 'enable 15' for the privileged access attempt. Try setting the enable level in the device properties to the string that you normally type for privileged access.

If that doesn't work, give our support team a call they would be happy to help.

    Thanks,

  • I've changed it to enable still doesn't work.

I added a different router and it worked fine the only difference being is that the router that does not work only requires a password and no login name whereas the one that works has a login name and password.

Couls this be causing the problem?

    Thanks

  • Jon,

We should be able to handle that situation. Can you get me a trace of the login validation? If so, send it to Josh@Solarwinds.net

    Thanks,
    Greg
