Inventory Change Report

Is there some way to be notified when a device inventory changes? For example, when a line card is removed, or a serial number changes?

No. You can only detect changes in configuration.
On the other hand, if the device support e.g. sending SNMP traps for such changes, it can be turned into an alert.
