How does everyone go about applying config to new switches prior to installing them into the production.
I have an idea of giving the switch an IP on its VLAN interface (using serial cable), allowing SSH/SNMP from NCM (using serial cable), plugging it into the network, adding to NCM, then pushing our base config out from NCM.
We currently do all config through the console (serial cable) prior to plugging it into the production network but have just started using NCM so would like it all to go through there for standardization.
