BGP Interface Down View (to crate)

Question

Hi NPM  ver 10.1.2.   and Using OID  bgpPeerState = 1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2 1st Question : Not interested in monitoring BGP Alerts as shown in many discussions, but rather I want to Display the  Current BGP "Down" interfaces  by testing if bgpPeerState OID < 6 (i,e Status Not Established) I need a View simular to "Down Nodes" View. 2nd known issue , is that bgpPeerState returns a Table (in my case 2 lines). How to deal with ? to diplay the corresponding interface desciprion (SNMP ifAlias) Thank you in advance for any hint

This is were Universal Device Pollers come in useful.

Just create a new custom poller based on your OID and assign it to the relevant node(s). You can also create alerts and reports based on UnDP items, as well as displayig the table on the node info page.

It seems more difficult to get the node alias however. Just tried it on one of my Cisco routers and most useful thing I can get is the BGP peer IP address. To get the ifAlias you're probably looking at custom SQL reports!
