Yes.  For Unix and Linux, you'll need to setup the Syslog daemons included with the OS to send Syslog data to the Kiwi Syslog Server.   For Windows event logs, you will need to use a third-party application. For this purpose, we recommend Snare Agent for Windows, which is freely available from: http://www.intersectalliance.com/projects/SnareWindows/index.html

Dear Chris,

Thanks for providing information.

So, i will have to provide path of KIWI Syslog server in Unix and Linux server or Databases @ /etc/syslog.conf  to send Syslog data to the Kiwi Syslog Server.

For Windows event logs, I need to use a third-party application such as Snare. Can you let me know regarding SNARE--- what will happen after installing SNARE , how to configure SNARE etc.,

Please confirm my above understanding is correct or not. Also, please suggest few tips for KIWI syslog server setup for environment  which includes different applications,Databases installed on Linux,Unix & Windows OS.Also the environment includes All type of Network Devices.

Thanks

Rahul
