Can anyone please verify that the following directories need to be excluded from AV scanning for Kiwi Syslog Server
C:\Program Files (x86)\Syslogd
C:\Program Files (x86)\UltiDev
Note - .EXE files should not be excluded

I've seen this in the manual, however we have been running with no AV exclusions without any issues, this has included two updates.
Is it recommended to exclude the above 4 folders (without excluding .exe files) based on real life issues etc?
I previously received the following answer from the SolarWinds customer support engineer regarding anti-virus exclusion settings.
In general, with anti-virus products, the following always work:
- Updates to security
- Folder scan for virus detection
These may affect co-resident applications.
"From one day, problems that have never occurred up to now have become more frequent"
"Os reboot once improves, but after a while the problem recurs"
In order to eliminate the above events, please be sure to perform "Folder scan exclusion settings" on anti-virus products.
