It would be a good idea to implement support for arista switches with EOS for at least port info and other things.
Modifying existing templates to also match arista will probably not be too much effort as the output and commands only slightly differ from other existing and already supported vendors.
I would be happy to support you with outputs from arista switches if you tell me which commands you need to be output.
I will also be happy to test drive new scripts for this support.
