ping button does not work (VM enviroment)

The ping device button within Cattools 3.10 and older versions) does not work in our VM enviroment, when we login to the server with user accounts.

The button DOES work when we login to the server with admin rights. However, i'm just a simple network management guy without admin rights to the server.

Telnet/ssh works fine , it's just the ping that does not work for normal users.

Hi,
Will you be able to get the response for ping in Command Prompt when you are logging in with your credentials(that is without admin rights)?
Also check what is the difference on the response of ping command between with admin and without admin rights.

Yes, the windows ping command works when started as a normal user.
There is no difference in using the windows ping command using as administrator or as user.

Do you got an error when clicking the Ping button? or just nothing is happeining?

There is no error, just a "waiting for response" and then a "no response received after 3000ms" message in the status bar of the Device Information window.
At the same time the Telnet/SSH button works nicely, and i KNOW for sure that the device is pingable.
What happens exactly "underneath" when the Ping button is pressed, and why does that not work when i am logging in to the server with user rights, and only works when i logon to the server with admin rights ?
