New setup using CISCO ACS

Help, Trying to test the CatTools to backup a Cisco 2811 router and not sure how to set it up, The router has SNMP community strings and Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) which uses a RSA. What are my options to set this up. Sorry if this has been covered could not find any other postings like this?

Hi,

What Device Type have you selected in CatTools?

Hi,

I am using the Cisco Router General, and model -Cisco 2800. Was able to get it work, needed to change setting on our TACACS server.  Not sure if there is a way not to use the TACACS server and use SNMP, tried to add the RW SNMP string password to Cattools but that did not work.

The majority of activities in CatTools operate via the CLI, so in most cases you will have to log in to the device. CatTools has been designed to work with TACAS so this shouldn't be a problem. The Report.SNMP.System summary is the only activity which uses SNMP.

Kind regards,
