Cisco CatOS VTY Password

Hi,

I'm having an issue with a Cisco CatOS device.  I keep getting an error on the Device.Backup.Running.Config activity stating "VTY password is incorrect for device".  I know the VTY password is correct.  I ran the activity in capture mode with a bunch of different configurations... and haven't gotten very far.

here's the debug capture:

help?

  • Hi,

    From the debug it looks like nothing except a carriage return is being sent for the password;

     Password: <W-3:44:09 PM>[13]

    On the Passwords tab for the device can you try putting the password in the 'Password box' below the 'Username box' to see if this resolves the issue.

    Please let me know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Wardini
