We are still in the process of switching from Excel to IPAM for IP address tracking. One thing I have come up against is that I have to track addresses of subnets that are not routable to my IPAM server. I thought, no big deal I will just import the addresses into IPAM with Excel and mark them as used. I did that for several of the subnets. Several days later I needed at add another address to one of these subnets and found that none of them were marked as used. I assume if IPAM can't ping an address after a certain time, it decides the address is unused. I need to track these IP address manually. There is no option for the IPAM server to be able to ping them. I would like to be able to set the used addresses and have the IPAM server keep it that way.
I will not be able to get rid of the Excel spreadsheet until this can be done.
