DHCP Support for Fortigate and other popular firewall and router vendors

DHCP Support for Fortigate and other popular firewall and router vendors

It would be great to manage all DHCP servers including Fortigate. We do have a number of DHCP scope in Windows, but there are a few that are issued by our firewalls for a few guest and DMZ networks that a segregated from our main systems. If would be nice to manage these scopes as well. It is understood that not all the scope options would be available, as mainly can only allow configuration of just the router and DNS server(s).

Some of the most common non-windows DHCP routers and Firewall Vendors:

  • Fortigate
  • Palo alto
  • Dell SonicWall
  • Juniper
  • Cisco

I am interested in this feature as well. We are running many of our guest DHCP scopes on one of those firewalls as well.

Besides guest scopes, many branch offices do not have any server infrastructure at all, so corporate DHCP also comes from the local SOHO Fortigate firewalls.  This is a significant use case for some companies.

Hello we need to monitor our Palo Alto and Pulse Secure dhcp scope as well.

Level 9

For IPAM, I would like to be able to see the MAC addresses on the subnets we manage in our Palo Alto Firewalls.  We can see our Cisco subnets just fine, but not the Palo Alto layer 3 subnets.

Level 7

We are running many small branch office DHCP scopes on Fortigate firewalls as well (many branch offices thus the need for Solarwinds modules to help manage them).  Much of out server power is now in the cloud.  Seems like logical progression to start adding these types of solutions.

SOHO Platforms such us the FortiGates aggregate multiple network services for Branch sites e.g DHCP. Visibility into those services is critical.

Please implement DHCP support for FortiGate ! Thank you.

this feature request is from 2015; has there been no traction on this issue?

I am attempting to add a fortigate dhcp server into IPAM but ipam doesn't seem to be reaching the interface the DHCP is built on.

This FR needs traction! Come on IPAM team! @donrobert5

I agree on the Fortigates. Would like to see this implemented for them as well.

Would be nice to have DHCP support for Cisco Meraki, as unlikely as that may be....
