Add Reservation to Multiple DHCP Split Scope Servers Simultaneously

Add Reservation to Multiple DHCP Split Scope Servers Simultaneously

When creating an IP reservation it would be nice to populate both or all Microsoft DHCP servers containing that specific scope at one time.  As it is you have to "Send Reservation to DHCP Server" to one DHCP Server.  Then you have to repeat the process to send it to the next DHCP Server using the drop-down menu.

An even better feature would be to select multiple reservations and push them all at once to a or all DHCP servers containing the appropriate scope.

Thanks,

Clint

Yeap unnecessary process. It should be fixed. Very important for us.

what if one of the reservation requests would fail? Would you like to roll-back all reservation or just get an error message which DHCP server could not receive the reservation order.

Just the error message. The problem is this. I can't get our DNS & DHCP admins to use IPAM. It has to offer much more than Microsoft DHCP. If you implement such features than they will use it for sure.

And also please don't forget to enhance the Top DHCP Scope utilization for the split scope DHCP. We are still seeing double DHCP scopes and it confuses us. Thanks again.

thanks Mustafa

This is huge for us as well. I actually submitted this via a tech support case but am very pleasantly surprised to see someone asking about it here too. Every single reservation we make, alter, or remove has to be edited at least twice (one for each DHCP server). It's a drag and it's hard for the server group to adopt IPAM without this feature since it constitutes such repetition of work, etc.

Thanks for the effort Michal, Mustafa, and Clint.

I'm in for that !

Reservations are a pain...

I'm looking for a product just for that.

Because this request is kind of related the one I created (single view for dhcp split scopes.) Need your support.

Equally important is REMOVING the reservation from multiple DHCP servers simultaneously!!!
