What We're Working on for IPAM (Updated February 9, 2021)

Following the Sunburst security incident, SolarWinds remains committed to the safety and security of our products and technology. Throughout 2021, we will prioritize security enhancements ahead of feature development to maximize customer safety and ensure confidence in SolarWinds and our products.

Items currently being considered include, but are not limited to:

- resolving ip hostnames via DNS monitoring verses PTR dns lookups.
Might have use case with mulitple domain/forrest that requires manual created PTR records in DNS to resolve.
IPAM can monitor the DNS servers and Zones....therefore being able to see the A record and IP address. IPAM should be able to use these in the event there is no PTR record present.
