Have HA?--We want to talk to you!

Hi all, if you have High Availability licensed with us, have multiple products and multiple APEs, then User Experience (UX) team would love to talk with you. We’re in the process of exploring future ideas for upgrade improvements, particularly in large environments. We’re looking for people who have SolarWinds HA on at least some servers, have large environments with multiple Additional Pollers and might have 1 hour to give us, any of the following four days, to talk about what is—and is not—working for you with your upgrades. We’ll talk a little in general and then have you take a look at some early concepts for new upgrade experiences.

• Tuesday, October 9; 8am to 4pm Central time (-5 UTC)

• Wednesday, October 10; 8am to 4pm Central time (-5 UTC)

• Monday, October 15; 8am to 4pm Central time (-5 UTC)

• Tuesday, October 16; 8am to 4pm Central time (-5 UTC)

Hello Kellie, Sorry for not seeing this earlier. We do have the HA license (13), we have 1 MPE and 12 APE's and 2 AWS. We currently do not have it implemented but it's on our list to work on.
Any information on it, would be greatly appreciated.
I have been wanting to review the requirements and how to configure but have not had the time.

Always happy to share, do you have a specific question about HA? My general experience is that it is a functional addition to the solution, there are some rough edges and some improvements to be added (some in the pipeline already I think). It can be chatty in terms of alert noise if not properly configured and is sometimes overly sensitive but overall I think if your business has a requirement for HA/DR then it fits the bill. HA can sometimes be a bit of a buzzword, so it's thrown in because it ticks a box (and that's fine) but if deployed correctly can add true resilience into the environment. A classic example, a customer of mine told me recently that they had a DC Failure, but because they have HA APE's in both DC's and a SQL AG across both DC's the SolarWinds environment stayed up, and was able to show historical data around the problem.
