THWACKcamp 2017 - Understanding Backup Technologies

The backup technology landscape is almost as complex as the environments it needs to protect. Do you go with point solutions to solve specific problems or a broader solution to consolidate backups into one platform? In this session, we discuss the latest backup approaches for each of the different types of IT environments you may need to protect.

In my session, "Understanding Backup Technologies and What They Can Do for You," I will be joined by Keith Young, Sr. Sales Engineer here at SolarWinds, to discuss the ins and outs of backup technologies and their impact on your IT environment.

THWACKcamp 2017 is a two-day, live, virtual learning event with eighteen sessions split into two tracks. This year, THWACKcamp has expanded to include topics from the breadth of the SolarWinds portfolio: there will be deep-dive presentations, thought leadership discussions, and panels that cover more than best practices, insider tips, and recommendations from the community about the SolarWinds Orion suite. This year we also introduce SolarWinds Monitoring Cloud product how-tos for cloud-native developers, as well as a peek into managed service providers’ approaches to assuring reliable service delivery to their subscribers.

I always dread backup related anything... I do have to deal with it though.  We're on Commvault now... the software with a million different knobs on it.  It's like the developers just can't stop adding features to the point it's almost out of control!
