Alternate Actuator: The Bacon Edition

With humble admiration and praise for sqlrockstar and his weekly Actuator, I wonder if it might be time for an alternate Actuator. August, aka the "silly season," is just around the corner. The silly season's heat and high population density tend to make people behave differently than they would if they were cool, calm, and collected. That's why I am considering an alternate Actuator, one that will focus on the silly to honor August.

August is hot. And sweaty. And sweat is salty. And what could be better than connecting something hot with something salty, like bacon?

I do like a good BLT sometimes especially good summer food.

Just finished my lunch when I came across this great collection.  Now, Bacon seems like what I was missing in my lunch for some reason.

Level 16

Because what could be better than bacon-tasting-ANYTHING!  Seriously, once we're 3D printing things that taste like bacon, is there a limit, an end?

"Hand me that bacon-flavored-TV-remote, please?"

"Right--just as soon as I get up off this bacon-flavored-recliner to use the rest room . . ."

"Hey!  Who used up all the bacon-flavored-TP?!"

(OK, maybe that last one was over the line . . .)

Level 12

Awesome bacon-y goodness!

Because bacon describes just about anything

At least all of the forgotten print jobs left on the printer would disappear

Now that is a great idea.  Might have to see about that since our offices are fairly close to the bistro!

Actually, I think swag actually is more enjoyable when bacon is present, but without bacon, swag is still good.

As is bacon without swag.

As long as you have either swag or bacon life is good.

Absence of both not so much fun.

Having both is preferred.

So we are looking for Bacon based swag?

Seems like "just plain cooking" items probably wouldn't make the Bacon Edition.  Wouldn't you think they ought to have more "tech" to them to be here?  I mean, sure, bacon's great--but Solarwinds could be doing so much more with bacon!  Monitoring pork cooking at the very least.

somewhere there was talk of a solarwinds sandwich monitor..it was a hot topic a couple of years back.

Monitoring your bacon....

Starts at ambient room temp, placed in grill during preheat, dropped in prepped potato dropped the temp down then up to eating temp.

Bacon wrapped, bacon stuffed potatos!

Iphone App (Says chicken cuz there no tater setting)

Now THIS is combining Solarwinds monitoring technology with BACON!

So I made these a couple weekends ago. Bacon wrapped onion rings. I had to crisp them on the grill first till the bacon was almost done

then I dipped them in Drakes batter and then deep fried them. Yummy! The idea was inspired from the BBQ Pit Boys on youtube.

Those boys know how to cook!

Oh, sure . . . Now I'm salivating at work.
