We had a few questions about our absence at CiscoLive US this year in San Diego, so we wanted to take a minute and share our reasoning.
Networkers are the foundation of SolarWinds and we will always appreciate your support. We’ve been a big participant at CiscoLive for the past several years and we have truly enjoyed our time there, especially getting to see the excitement of our customers. We’ve learned a lot from you and hopefully given you the opportunity to learn from us. As we go forward we’re trying to make sure we have multiple avenues to engage with customers.
First we’ll continue to attend shows, we were recently at CiscoLive in Australia, and we’re going to be at Microsoft TechEd (#1901) in Orlando so please do come by our booth if you’re there. But we’re also trying to grow beyond tradeshows because the reality is that all of you are scattered all over the world and we’ll never get to hear from the vast majority of you if all we did was tradeshows. So we’re doing more with thwack around content and products and we will continue to do other virtual events that we hope you will participate in. And don’t worry, we’re cooking up other ideas for our core supporters like yourself on ways for you guys to get your hands on all the SolarWinds swag we know you love!!
One way is a “Wish You Were Here” contest we have created around CiscoLive. Tweet @solarwinds with the #CLUS hashtag during the conference with a great pic or a few words about how the conference is going and get entered for a chance to win a SolarWinds Geek Kit, including our newest button designs! Thanks for your support and hope to see you soon!
What about you guys having your own "Solarwinds Live" confrence?
You could do it right there in Austin. OpNet does this in the DC area and it is great. You can keep the cost in check and provide a terrific training/promotional confrence.
I'd go.... 🙂
