catv modem mgmt - Bad IP on CMTS

Hi there.

I work for a cable company and was dealing with a customer, the modem was stuck in init(i). Levels were perfect, did factory reset et al.

But in Solarwinds I was getting the message - Bad IP on CMTS

What does this mean? Is it just a result of like a modem or signal issue? (SNR looked to be fine) Or maybe something wrong on the network side of things. There were no other modems stuck in init(i) on thet section of the network. (and just a couple offline for that matter)
