We are constantly battling an issue with automated security policy updates restricting permissions on the following directories used by the EOC:
C:\Windows\Temp\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\EOC\SolarWinds\NetworkAtlas\MapsWeb\EOC\localhost
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files
These are on the system drive (C:) which is subject to periodic inspection by the security policy compliance tools used by our Windows admins and security teams to check and set company security compliance on prod servers.
EOC requires full controll to "Evceryone" on these paths in order to perform various functions; including accessing its maps.
When the security policy gets changed the EOC fails to retrieve maps and other objects, causing issues with our operations views (and incident tickets to our monitoring team).
I propose an enhancement to the EOC to include automated permissions checking on its required files and directories, with an option to restore required permissions when necessary to ensure product functionality.
