I saw the statement "You can now get a ready-to-go image that includes Database Performance Analyzer and a pre-configured SQL Server historical repository. "
on this page: Amazon RDS Database Monitoring | SolarWinds
But after I launch the DPA from AWS marketplace subscription, I don't see any historical data.
Could anyone tell me how to get it?
That's some out of date information. The original DPA instance in the marketplace was bundled with SQL Server for the DPA repository (where DPA stores its data), the new DPA instance does not - you have to create a MySQL RDS instance and then connect DPA to it to store data. Once you have the repo configured, you can start monitoring databases.
I'll get the description updated.
