With the way the SQL Server error log alert is designed, I have to create 1 alert for every "clause" I want to search for. For example "Error" would be 1 alert, "Fail" would be another alert, and "whatever other string" is yet another alert... and so on. Well, if I were to model what SCOM does, there are several hundred phrases. Is there a way to design a single alert to read the error log and compare it to an entire list of entries?
