Metrics by Program?

Trying to capture some metrics or just wait time around particular programs. I see where this can be done in reports, but I'm really looking for a graph over time. For example how much of wait time, cpu ( whatever metric possible ) program "IIS" is using. Is this possible?

Got it. That would probably work. I don't suppose it is possible to get that value into a metric graph that we can view under resources?

This may be possible with how you are drilling in.
Try this from the trend view. Go to a single day. Click on the interval drop down and select 1 day. You should see 1 bar representing an aggregate for that day.
Now, click on that bar and select the waits tab.
Click on CPU, now click on the programs tab. That will show top consumers of CPU for the day by application.
That's about as close as we can get with how we collect/correlate data within DPA.

What version are you currently running? I'd like to implement this on DPA 9.2 as we can then go against the summary table which will now hold 10 minute summary data points. Going against detail would be possible, but much more difficult and a lot more overhead. Thoughts?

Can you run a couple queries for me against your repo?
For the instance in question, run a "select id, name from cond" and provide the id.
Then run "select id, name from conpr_<id from above>" and let me know how IIS is identified in our table.

Scott, I ran into an issue on this one that may prove tough to overcome.
It looks like custom metrics are based on queries running against the monitored instance.
I don't see a way to query against the repo which is where we'd get the data you are looking for from...
Hate to say it, but I think I'm stuck on this one.
