Issues with dpa linux installer

Dear all,

i'm trying to install dpa 12 rc on a fresh installed centos 7 server.

On my server i've installed the oracle jdk 10.0.2.

when i start the installer "dpa_12_0_3070_x64_installer.sh" the installer abort with the error:

"Searching for java executable... This may take a few minutes, please be patient.

Could not locate java.  Please add a java executable to your path and run the install again."

i've set all Path Variables as recommendet

Hi Andy,

The executable needs a version of Java found with this string.  If it doesn't fit (and 10.0 doesn't) it will fail.

"$JAVA_EXE" -version 2>&1 | grep 'version \"1.[2345678]'

Therefore, 1.2 - 1.8 would work to unpack it.

Hi chenry,

thank you very much, i've removed the oracle jdk 10 and installed the jdk8.

Now the installer worked without any issues.

Is it actually in your path though? echo $PATH

Try that, but if that doesn't work, you may want to open a support case where they can hop on a call with you and walk through the installation.
