One of my staff was rolling out a new laptop for a sales person. He finished configuring the system and was in the process of transferring her data over. He came to me about 30 minutes later and said there must be something wrong...it said that it was going to take 3 days to transfer everything over.
That can't be right...so after some digging on the old laptop's 500 gb hard drive he realized it had only 2 gigs of free disk space left. He couldn't figure it out as the largest file was only 400 MB in size (PST file). He gave me the laptop and i started poking around...I had a 3rd party disk explorer I used sometimes, and it came up and said the "My Documents" folder was 415 GB in size. I figured something was corrupted.
I used the tool to do a full exploration of the folder, and found about 50 movies on the sales person's hard drive...all with the hidden bit flagged so we wouldn't find them. Needless to say, the sales person lost the downloads, and didn't last very long with the company after that.
