So I guess you have to know what database went GA in November 2019.

I was also thinking that the GA in November was referring to a release of DPA.

Our environment is still hovering between 2014 and 2016  databases so when the next release comes out is not really pertinent to my job (which is NOT even accidentally DBA). I'm not sure the database release date and version are mentioned  on the hint page.

I'm unable to upload the screenshot of the monthly shortcut and it mentions that I have already entered?

Level 8

Email sent, thanks!

Level 12

I was going to guess that but didn't want to look up when it came out.  - Yeah, really lazy today, I know. - Thanks for the help!

Doesn't look like it.

I think the answer was pretty easy but I just did a google search to see which one went GA in November 2019.

Level 9

Looks like I got Thursday question wrong as well, that'll teach me for reading GA release notes

Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) 2019.4 Is Now Generally Available

Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) supported this popular database on the day it was made GA in November 2019.

The "it" in the question refers to "the popular database", not DPA itself.  A little confusing, I must admit.

Level 9

THWACK THE PLANET!!!!!!!!

Level 9

Who ever is writing the questions, bravo....the quality is improving steadily.

Level 8

I miss the easy Friday survey question. Don't make me think this close to the weekend.

Level 10

hey guys, removed the extra %20 at the end of the url in the hint, why you are getting the 404 error or click https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/la/content/release_notes/LA_2019-4_release_no...

Level 9

Hi,

Question 4 answer is not available in options list, can you reset this question ?

yumdarling

Level 12

@youmdarling cannot access hint error 404

can you reset the answer please?

Level 10

see this page:  LA 2019.4 Release Notes

The clue for Monday, January 13th has an extra space character (%20) at the end of the hyperlink and results in a 404. It works if you click and then take the %20 off the end of the URL in your browser, or go straight to LA 2019.4 Release Notes as @sef pointed out.

Level 10

You were in...the 404 Zone, until the URL was fixed. Thanks for fixing that so quickly! I just think this graphic is cute and funny!

Fixed, thanks for catching that, Sam!

Most people are getting this correct, even with that hiccup, so for now, there will be no resets. I'll keep an eye on it, though.

Have a great Monday, THWACK friends.

Level 12

Really like today's question. You have to read carefully and select wisely.

Yes. Definitely not a quick 'click and done.'

Level 10

Your meme...FTW

Level 16

Anyone other than me not get the memo that an additional database is needed when upgrading?

pastedImage_2.png

Level 8

That January 9th question is bogus. If you read "What databases and platforms can you monitor?" on this page, SQL Performance Analyzer – Analysis Tool for MSSQL Server | SolarWinds  the only one mentioned by nama that was a choice is MySQL, which is actually more popular than MS-SQL, I'm not saying it's better, but I've used MySQL a lot more than I've used MS-SQL. Sorry, not sorry, for being a sore loser

MVP
MVP

Rrrrr, read carefully, choose carefully and the number that shows along with the Red X doesn't match the number that I thought I choose. Rrrr

Level 8

Then why not find another way to access the mission? BYOD and a hot spot? Access while out to lunch or at home? Guessing in hopes of getting points is not an effective way to learn the platform.

@I don't understand why so many members have complained that they cannot access certain content at work - maybe your employer expects you to be working. :\RantOver

Level 9

Probably been mentioned numerous times before but thought I'd throw it out there! Its a shame that one incorrect answer prevents you from being in the draw for the overall prize.

Level 16

I just do the ones that don't run at work at home. They usually only take 5 minutes. Some other items that don't always work are the side chat window and video during classes or webinars. I just use my personal hotspot and laptop for those.

MVP
MVP

some sites are blocked by content type via McAfee where I work.

Level 8

Can someone post the January 15th question for me? I apparently read it wrong and would like to see where I messed up. I could've sworn I read what case number was fixed by the VMAN 2019.4 upgrade...

Level 8

Okay, this is frustrating. I'm pretty sure I answered today's question right but got an incorrect message telling me what was fixed is what I'm sure I clicked. I can't be that thick, but maybe I am... It would be helpful if we could see our answers together with the question, not just a "you were wrong message."

Level 9

Which of the following support case numbers have been fixed with the 2019.4 release of SolarWinds Virtualization Manager (VMAN)? Select all that apply.

Level 9

I agree, if i'm wrong i want to go back, read the question again and understand why i got the answer wrong but most of the time i can't remember the exact question or the options it gave.

Level 8

Thanks! I missed the "select all that apply"  ...I'm a dummy!

Level 8

Especially when I'm 99.999% sure I answered it right. I saw the select all that apply on this one.

Level 10

I'm sorry, but I think it is probably against the rules to post a question and the answers here. My version shows the question with the correct answers filled out, and I cannot change it to post it.

Level 10

Tricky question today was...

Level 9

Hint for question 21st Jan:

Only select what is under the "Using APIs as another data source for SAM monitoring enables you to:" section within the hint document.

Level 12

Trying to get the ctrl+f crowd riled up

MVP
MVP

yep - Hint for Question 21

Read the question

MVP
MVP

This question should read "Which of the following support case number has been fixed ......."

pastedImage_0.png

Level 8

Not really, there are 4 numbers.  You could say "Which ONE of the following support case numbers....." but that is already implied if you ask me superfly99

Level 9

Agreed, have works as a verb, designating an action. Has is singular, indicating possession..

Clicky

grammarnazi.jpg

Level 10

Which...has - singular

Which...have - plural

MVP
MVP

So you're saying the sentence should read "Which ONE of the following support case numbers have been fixed with the ......".

Doesn't sound like good english to me. So I don't agree with you. I stand by my original comment.

Level 10

It should be: "Which ONE of the following support case numbers has been fixed with the ......".

Level 8

Exactly or as has been stated in the question, which of them have been fixed.

Level 12

Today's question I found the answer on the release notes tab, didn't find it on the administrator tab.

MVP
MVP

When my hint came up it defaulted to the administer tab.

Be careful, it looks like there could be 2 possible answers at first glance although it will only accept one.

Read twice to be sure you get the context of the question.

The answer was pretty straightforward with the link that was provided.

Level 9

????? I still have no idea what the answer is?
