Level 20

Lol that is funny.

Level 20

I'm getting a blank white page on the appoptics hint link today.  Ok IE was a no go but firefox worked fine.  I had to refresh the page a few times for the video on the mini challenge today as well.  At least once I got the video and today's hint in FF the questions were straight forward.

Level 12

Chrome Version 64.0.3282.167 (Official Build) (64-bit) works as well.

Level 9

Hoping we get virtual classrooms for AppOptics soon

Level 10

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! If not, then remember you're awesome and you can get cheap candy today!

Level 20

Lol yeah 50% off at Walgreens lololol!

Level 12

Buy it now for next year.

Level 12

half the calories

Level 10

Another week down and green check marks across the board, WOOHOO!

Granted the questions have been pretty easy so far, but still I'll count it a victory!

Dilly Dilly!!

Level 12

Dilly dilly!

Level 9

Question 10, one answer is

  1. Trace the bobsleigh track

Shouldn't this be bobsled track?

Just me being me, not complaining.

Level 10

They're interchangeable, bobsled is more common in the US but bobsleigh is more common in the rest of the world. Source: word choice - "Bobsled" versus "Bobsleigh"

Level 12

The old Football vs. Soccer issue yet again.

Level 10

Hooray for us Americans having to spell and measure everything differently because... well.. cuz 'Murica dammit!!

I spell things differently because I have a very hard time understanding the stupid arbitrary rules of the written American English language.  Those that speak and write in a mostly phonetic language are blessed.

2 to too two tu....arrrrrggg!

Level 14

It looks like spelling is an ongoing issue.

Q11 on 19Feb is fine, but there's a typo on the hint page in one of the product names. We really need one mail address to be able to funnel all documentation typos - and then I'd be able to describe it in detail.

Level 20

Ignore the missing character... it's right.

Level 13

I was going to post the same thing. Oops!

That crazy Greek language!  If only it operated with intuitive rules that were consistent.  Like English.

Level 13

Ugh, I just did the exact same thing.  Should have checked the comments first. D'oh!

Level 12

Hi wabbott,

In today's (20th Feb) question, I see 2nd hint was given as a purpose. But, when I answered on 19th question there was a typo in Lambda, d was forgotten. But, when luckily included, got it right.

Now, I am in the same dilema for today's question. Whether to select the 2nd hint or not. Please advise.

Level 8

Gaaaa ticked ALL the correct boxes and still got a red mark for the question... something went wrong with my submission??? Can this be corrected?

Level 12

Hi nml_shft,

Did you select the 2nd option check box? Based on your confirmation, I can try and ready to loose 150 points . As per the question and answers, one option should not be selected, if there was no typo in the answers.

Level 7

There is a typo on one of the possible answers to Question 12 which the Thwack team will be fixing soon. Response B: "Stats collector plugin" should be "Statsd collector plugin".  Sorry about that!!

Level 10

The real question is whether the StatsD collector plugin is consider a Stats collector plugin, or "Stats" is a typo and they intended to label it as "StatsD", or if a "Stats collector plugin" is intended to be a different entity from a "StatsD collector plugin".  Does anyone know?

Level 10

Sorry jerryschwartz... didn't see your post until after posting mine.  Thank you for answering my question.

Level 10

In this instance, "Stats collector plugin" and "Statsd collector plugin" are equivalent.

Level 8

So for those who erroneously answered incorrectly, will they be given credit for that question?  I saw the same  "stats" vs. "statsd", thought maybe it was just a tricky question.

Level 9

Missing Question 11 because of a typo, didn't read the comments first.

Level 7

Gave wrong answer because of typo. Didn't read the comments first.

Level 9

I really need to read the comments before answering. Another week prizeless. Sad.

Level 15

Hi all, the typo in Q12 has been corrected & I reset the question for anyone who answered incorrectly due to the typo.

Level 12

Both question 11 and 12 had type-o in them, I missed the first due to that fact, but didn't let me fail a second time.

Best Regards,

Derik Pfeffer

Level 20

Anyone else stay up to watch the Men's Curling Gold Metal game?

Yep.  The tension was surprising, the outcome rewarding.  I live & work where those guys are from--Duluth, MInnesota and Superior, Wisconsin.  I have friends who are curlers--it's quite the intense and friendly pastime and culture.

Level 20

I like the broom activity that goes on during a match!

Level 9

For question 16, it appears that APM is an acronym meaning 'Application Performance Monitoring'?

We stayed up until the Swedish team conceded in the 10th end but then crashed.  I was so excited when John Shuster scored that 5-spot in the 8th!  Beautiful curling.  I've actually curled in the past but I'm so inflexible (muscle-wise) that I had a hard time getting my knees to go up into my chin, so I did something similar to a lunge when I threw stones.  Looking back at pictures my wife took, it's pretty hilarious, actually...

Level 10

I'm sure the answer is wrong today .

One letter can make an opposite difference.

Level 13

While technically its missing an "a" (which changes the meaning), people should really know how they want you to answer the questions by now.

None issue IMHO

Good morning wabbott, I agree.  I got today's (Feb 27) question wrong because of the difference in the question vs. the hint text as described above.  The scarlet "a".

Have a great day!

adjective technical

adjective: aperiodic

not periodic; irregular.

adjective: periodic

appearing or occurring at intervals.

synonyms:regular, periodical, at fixed intervals, recurrent, recurring, repeated, cyclical, cyclic, seasonal;

Vastly different meanings.   Opposites of each other.

I am actually confused how to answer, based on how its written its false, but if the a is missing its true.  So is it a read between the lines true or a face value false.

Level 12

Sometimes it helps to remember where you are and what you're participating in.  This is marketing (admittedly tons of fun to participate in but marketing nonetheless) and I find that keeping that in mind sometimes helps clear up stuff like this.  Why craft a question that tells your potential buyers what your product can't do?  Not to say that it could never happen, of course, but this mindset has been helpful to me so far.

Level 9

Missed it due to the aperiodic and periodic misspelling, bummer!

Level 12

See the source image

Very good point.   I got the answer correct, but I feel they should reset it since the hint now matches the answer.....
